I got this Warning off Yahoo Travel....

Japan is not as safe for women travellers as it is for men. The primary dangers faced by women travellers to Japan are of a sexual nature: sexual harassment, molestation and rape. Although some expats will assure you that it's safe to walk the streets of any Japanese city alone at night, ignore this nonsense and follow your common sense: keep to streets with heavier foot traffic, stay in groups etc. Western-looking women who are alone on foot are easy targets for verbal harassment, or worse, by passing male pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. Walking solo along roads in remote rural areas (even during broad daylight), and hitchhiking are definitely advised against. The risks simply aren't worth it. Jam-packed trains or buses during rush hour, or late-hour services heaving with the inebriated masses, can bring out the worst in some men. If possible, ride in the women-only train carriages that have recently been introduced. Some Japanese men engage in the all-too-common handshake scam, where a friendly man pretends to want to shake your hand Western-style, then fondles your breast at the same time. When in doubt, refuse to shake hands and bow instead. Although statistics show low rates of violent crimes against women, many Japanese women's organisations and media attribute this to under-reporting.

Life and Death

The body of a Singaporean hostage killed in a Mumbai terrorist attack has been flown back to Singapore.

Ms Lo Hwei Yen’s casket was brought to her parents’ home at Lower Delta Road at about 6pm, accompanied by her husband, Mr Michael Puhaindran.

While life stares at at us, sometimes death steals it away.It was horror and shock when the news first broke in Singapore Polytechnic that a Singapore Hostage was taken. In Foodcourt 3, all eyes were transfixed to the screens as the news unfolded. We all hoped and some prayed that nothing will happen, even i was optimistic that the Singapore Hostage will come out alive. But it was not to be so.

Sometimes, we really gotta live as everyday would be our last. What would you want your Mom to hear. What would you want to tell the one that loved you do much yet you pride stopped you. What have you always wanted to do that hasnt been done.So many questions, just live everyday as your last.Cos, we might never know what might happen.

Now i just got word that two more attacks are planned in New Delhi and Chennai to come. This is an unsupported source, Indian news from India love to exaggerate things sometimes. So anyone who have loved ones living overseas, please do get them registered with the nearest embassies.

When will this craziness end, i do not know. Why do people become like what comics have painted them (The Joker in Batman). They just want to kill and kill more, they dont care if they die. They just want to destroy and kill.

Well, one thing that we as Singaporeans can do is to ALWAYS keep vigilant. Why? Cause the same thing can and might happen in Singapore.See a suspicious package, report it.See a suspicious person...report it. Cos its better to be safe than sorry.

My condolences and my heart goes out to the Family. May God be with you through this time of sorrow and grieve.

***And just for saying sakes, please stop pointing fingers the MFA, The Singapore Government,The Indian Goverment or the Indian Police.Because you do not know if the outcome would have been different.Stop this bombardment of accusations on blogs meant to keep her memory alive.Do it on your blogs and your own websites. This was a unfortunate event and thats all.You are not all-knowing to say that if things were done differently, people would be alive.Peace.
